We track 97 conference hotels in Bulgaria, from business hotels in Sofia and Plovdiv to coastal resorts, ski hotels and spa hotels inland. The main trade-off is size against setting. The biggest halls sit in large city and resort hotels, while mountain and spa hotels tend to offer smaller rooms with space for team building between sessions.
Conference hotels in Bulgaria: the short version
All 97 hotels on this page host conferences, and 71 publish at least a hall count or a capacity figure. Only 42 publish a theatre figure, so for many of them you will need to ask for room sizes.
Sofia and Plovdiv hotels suit day conferences and meetings with delegates flying in. Coastal resorts suit larger summer events with rooms on site, while mountain and spa hotels suit smaller groups that want team building alongside the sessions. Few hotels publish conference prices, so plan to ask for quotes. You can request one from each hotel's page.

How they compare
These are the twelve largest published venues, sorted by their biggest figure. Theatre is the usual measure for conference seating. A banquet layout seats far fewer people than theatre in the same room, so compare like with like.

| Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia | Not published | 750 | 418 | Not published |
| Reina del Mar | Not published | 657 | 412 | Not published |

What to check before booking
Before you sign, put these five questions to each hotel on your shortlist.
- Capacity by layout. Ask for the figure in the layout you will use, with stage, screens and AV in place. Classroom and banquet layouts seat far fewer people than theatre.
- Exclusivity. Ask whether other groups, weddings or events will share the conference floor, foyer or restaurant on your dates.
- Outdoor backup plan. If you plan coffee breaks, receptions or team building outside, confirm the indoor fallback holds the whole group.
- Catering minimums and extra charges. Get any minimum delegate numbers, minimum spend, and charges for AV, coffee breaks and late finishes in writing.
- Room block. Ask how many rooms the hotel will hold for delegates, at what rate, and when unsold rooms are released.

Questions
Which hotels in Bulgaria have the largest conference halls?
Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia publishes the largest theatre figure. It lists 750, then Sofia Hotel Balkan at 650, and Hyatt Regency Sofia and International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites at 600 each. Reina del Mar lists 657 for a shared event centre.
How many delegates can a hotel in Bulgaria seat theatre-style?
Up to 750 at the largest published venue. Eight hotels list a theatre figure of 400 or more, but only 42 of the 97 publish a theatre figure at all. Ask for the theatre capacity of the specific hall you want, not the hotel's total, and check it with your stage and screens in place.
Do conference hotels in Bulgaria have breakout rooms?
Usually, at the larger ones. Thirty of the hotels we track publish three or more halls. A hall count tells you how many rooms exist, not how big they are, so ask for a floor plan and the capacity of each breakout room in your chosen layout.
How do I request a conference quote from a hotel?
Use the events contact in the cards above, or request a quote from the hotel's page. Thirty-seven hotels publish an events email or phone line. Send your dates, delegate numbers, the layout for each session, breakout rooms, catering, AV needs and how many bedrooms you need, and ask for the quote in writing.
Is Bulgaria easy to reach for delegates?
Usually, for city and coastal venues. Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas all have international airports, which puts most city and coastal hotels within reach of a flight. Ski and spa hotels need a longer road transfer. Routes from the UK and Ireland change by season, so check current flights before you fix dates.
